I agree with the author regarding Prop 8. One would think since this country has the open - mindness to vote for President Obama; that this country would also allow same-sex marriages to take place.
I disagree, race is something that the United States "overcame" a long time ago. However; same sex marriages is something that people are going need some time to warm up to. Plus for a lot of people its a religous thing because gay marriage is considered a sin, when a black man for a leader is not considered anything in the Bible.
