I am confused at the situation regarding the recent developments in Washington. President nominated several candidates for positions on his staff; and so far 3-4 nominees have had to bow out due to "illegal or not so savory" histories.
Being the "first" in the top position - wouldn't Obama - shouldn't Obama be more careful with his words and actions. All eyes are on him.

ReplyDeleteIt is ironic that the pick for Secretary of Treasury, Timothy Geithner, a man who accidently forgot to pay $34,023 in self-employment taxes will now be the man in charge of collecting taxes. Obama's excuse for Geithner was it's a "common mistake". Typically when other American Citizens make such a mistake as not paying $34,023 in tax, it's not written off as a "common mistake". Take Wesley Snipes for example. He was recently indicted on eight counts of tax fraud. Why would they make an example out of him and not Geithner. Maybe it helps to be President of the Federal Reserve of New York, or appointed Secretary of the Treasury.
ReplyDeleteWell Wesley Snipes thought he didn't have to pay taxes...
